Conceived at Praia da Marinha, Quinta del Rey, Lagoa, Algarve, Portugal

Born as the only child of Sylvia Wallinger and as 3rd child of Manuel dos Santos Lourenco on 11. 3. 1981 at Hospital Particular in Lisbon, Portugal.

1996: travel to the French Riviera with a group of students, the bus is attacked, the students, also Leonora, were robbed.

Summer: Only organized by Leonora trip to Golden, Colorado to great-uncle and great-aunt, first regular job as a waitress in an Austrian restaurant.

Leonora pass the admission test for a partially funded scholarships scholastic year abroad at the Methodist Ladies College in Melbourne, Australia, with their host parents Dr. Barnett

1997: Successful school in Melbourne, book and booklet free teaching, exclusively to computer-based learning and studying.

Many contacts with Latin American and Asian students at the EF language school.

Her mother visited Leonora during the summer of 1997 for 7 weeks together traveling around Australia, in December ended the stay with a trip to Tasmania.

Return, hassle free continuation of high school education in Hall in the academic year 1997/1998.

Summer 1998: Together with some class mates Leonora travels to Brazil, first working for one month at a project for street children in Sao Paolo, then she travels thousands of kilometres alone by bus to Curitiba, where she takes part in the second holiday month in an action of landless labourers against the landowners.

Accompanying the 8th year at school: Internship at the Psychosomatic University Hospital Innsbruck, the Psychiatric Social Services in Hall; Beginning of vigils at the bedside of terminally ill patients in the hospital Natters

2nd. Australia trip to her host families in Melbourne to Betty Gründmandl, an exile from Hall, they continue to encourage family research; Visit of Dr. Bandhauer in Sydney; last journey together with mother and friend to Portugal.

Excerpt from home, moved back to Innsbruck, Peter-Mayr-Straße 25; Beginning of medical studies.

Leonora passed all exams in record time: Dissection course, physics, chemistry, physiology, continues to work with terminally ill people at the University Hospital of Innsbruck and Natters.

February 2000 trip to Sweden, working at a centre for young people supervised in Lidköping. Beginning first pain symptoms.

Easter 2000: work in hospital Hall as surgical assistant nurse.

June 2000: travel with her mother to Dublin, then with a friend to Amsterdam and, as every summer, to Portugal to her Father.

Soon after her return, during the visit of their Australian host parents on 20 September 2000, her acute myeloid leukemia is diagnosed.

Her father travels to Portugal, her parents reconciled to her bedside. In June 2001, it is the written Biology examination, then she dies on 27 September 2001 after a failed bone marrow transplant in the presence of her mother at the intensive care unit of the hospital in Innsbruck.
